As it is imperative for members of the family to work together to solve problems within the family, we all need to come together to make our earth a great place to live. In order to do so, we need a centripetal force that could congregate cooperation of all social standings. This is precisely why the Korea GreenFoundation was founded in 2002. We have focused on developing alternative solutions rather than reverting to criticism, and as a result, the capacity of social organizations that seemed impossible to co-exist has beenbrought together. The Korea Green Foundation has built a cooperative network between the government, corporations, civic organizations, and individuals in order to find solutions that influence governmental policies, help businesses and preserve the environment, all at the same time. As a trustworthy organization, the Korea Green Foundation will be the window for solving environmental issues. As the first non-governmental environmental foundation in Korea, the Korea Green Foundation received muchconcern from everyone. However, we have been able to receive much love and encouragement due to the increase of environmental consciousness compared to 30 years ago when the environmental movement first started. Without everyone's support, we would not have been able to advocate the preservation of the environment and to cultivate professional environmental activists so successfully. With this as our foundation, the Korea Green Foundation will go beyond the confines of Korea into other Asian countries and will serve to become the leader of Asia in protecting the environment.
