환경재단은 2002 년 설립된 대한민국 최초의 환경전문 공익재단입니다 . 21 세기 우리의 환경과 생명을 지키기 위해 환경재단은 시민과 NGO, 정부 , 기업과 함께 다양한 환경활동을 지원해오고 있습니다 . 특히 국가의 경계를 넘어 국제 네트워크를 통해 아시아의 환경문제를 함께 풀어가고자 노력하고 있습니다 . 서울환경영화제 , 환경사진전 , 136 환경포럼 , 어린이 환경교육 , 아시아지역 우물파주기 , 황사방지 프로그램 , 아시아 환경연수프로그램 등 다채로운 활동을 진행하고 있습니다 .
The Green Foundation was founded in 2002 and is the first environmentally focused public organization to be established in Korea. It supports various activities initiated by citizens, NGOs, government and corporations with a focus on nvironmental protection within Korea and also throughout the Asian region.
Projects include the Green Film Festival in Seoul, Green Photo Festival, 136 Environment Forum, Children Education on Environment, Scholaship , digging wells for clean drinking water in Asia, developing a preventive program against yellow ust from the Gobi Desert, and an Asian Environment Study Program.
